Catalyst EDU is a Boulder County troubled teen therapy program for students at risk

Catalyst Education of Colorado is a crisis intervention program that serves students at risk in Boulder County and along the Front Range. Crises come in many shapes and sizes. Families do not plan for a crisis, but when one develops, it is critical to take action and not let the crisis deepen. Because of the nature of our program, we provide excellent in-house personal counseling services.

In addition, Catalyst EDU is designed to collaborate with an array of service providers who support deeper emotional, psychological or physical needs of teens in crisis. We believe it is critical for the teens to receive the best therapeutic support, at least through the crisis period. Scheduling physical therapy, substance abuse recovery support, or therapeutic counseling for depression or anxiety, can be tricky and stressful at best, or even impossible in many high schools. Too many families find themselves in a bind when told, “If you miss any more classes (even to meet with doctors or therapists) you will fail.” In Catalyst EDU, we not only build your school schedule around your son or daughter’s important appointments and schedules, we even encourage your involvement with support agencies by granting credit for that tremendously important participation. Finally, if you arrive at Catalyst EDU before finding the support services you need, we can introduce you to a wide variety of excellent therapists or treatment and support groups.

"Mom, I love my school!  The great thing about Catalyst is that they design the classes for my benefit, not theirs!"
-- Tim, a current student

"Not only is this the first and only high school that worked for Sarah, it’s the most focused I’ve seen her in twelve years of education.”
-- Chris, father of a current student
