Catalyst Education of Colorado is a teen therapy program for students at risk who live in Boulder County and along the Front Range. These days, teens face situations and pressures with far more intensity than in past generations. Our greatest interest is the safety and the physical, emotional, mental and social well-being of our students. Supporting these needs is essential for students to be able to take advantage of our excellent academic program. Because of the nature of our program, we have excellent in-house personal counseling services. Further, Catalyst EDU is specifically designed to coordinate efforts with your doctor or therapist to support deeper emotional needs of your son or daughter. Regardless of the reason, we believe it is critical for your child to receive the best therapeutic support.

Scheduling therapy, substance abuse recovery support, or counseling for mental illness, can be tricky or stressful at best, or even impossible in many high schools. Too many families find themselves in a bind when told by their school, “If you miss any more classes (even to meet with doctors or therapists) you will fail.” Facing failure, the teen questions why attend school at all, at which point the next threat by the school is truancy court. In contrast, the Catalyst model is based on part-time attendance, and we not only build your school schedule around your son or daughter’s important appointments, we even encourage involvement with support agencies by granting credit for that tremendously important participation.
